Memphis radio and television personality and lifelong friend of Elvis Presley, George Klein helped bring rock and roll to the masses. He was the second DJ in the country to play Elvis Presley’s first record, the first DJ to play Johnny Cash’s first record, he hosted Talent Party a weekly television show that showcased many acts. He broke the color barrier by having Fats Domino on his show, which opened the door for others such as James Brown, Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson. GK as his friends call him is also a best selling author of Elvis My Best Man telling about his friendship with the King of Rock and Roll.
