CK Mondavi & Family

Our 70 year commitment to creating high quality, American grown and produced wines of exceptional value is what puts CK Mondavi at the top.The history of CK Mondavi Family Vineyards is a classic American success story. Committed to producing wines of uncompromising quality, Cesare and Rosa Mondavi moved to the Napa Valley and purchased the Charles Krug Winery in 1943. Winemaking was an important part of their Italian heritage, and, together with their sons Robert and Peter, they created CK Mondavi – a line of wines offering both tremendous quality and value. CK Mondavi began with a vision and commitment to produce wines worthy of gracing the tables of families across America. Seventy years later, this vision continues.

Today, CK Mondavi remains one of the most successful wine brands in America because of its excellent quality and great value. We harvest grapes at their peak of ripeness from prime California vineyards, including our family-owned vineyards in the Dunnigan Hills AVA, creating wines with fully developed flavors. We produce ten different varieties to offer our customers a broad range of choices for everyday occasions. From a simple picnic or family dinner, to parties, romantic evenings or book clubs, CK Mondavi produces wines for every occasion.

On September 1st, 2014 we proudly announced that our wines are the first and only wines to be 100% Made in USA Certified. It was a vision that was important to Cesare and Rosa Mondavi over 70 years ago. Today, as the fourth generation moves into the family business, the vision to support the community and this great country continue. The partnership between Marc Mondavi and winemaker Charlie Gilmore ensures that our wines continue to achieve the high quality standards we’ve set and offer our customers the exceptional wines they’ve come to expect from us.

From second generation family patriarch Peter Mondavi Sr. to third generation stewards Marc and Peter Mondavi Jr., the family continues to preserve the vision and values established in 1943 by Cesare and Rosa Mondavi. The family is also proud to be welcoming members of the fourth generation into the family business, securing the family legacy for generations to come.
