The girls did it. It was totally their idea. Mandy and Sheri had a major moment. You know . . . like an epiphany? One day they were talking about how nasty oatmeal packets are, when wham, out of nowhere, they decided to start an oatmeal company in Sheri’s kitchen!

Yep, you get the picture. Sheri, Mandy, the kids . . . pretty much everyone but us guys, all sprinkling ingredients into little cups. Did we think they were crazy? Well, let’s not go there. But, you gotta hand it to ‘em. Creating the best oatmeal in the world took a lot of time and patience. And before they knew it, everyone at home in the Umpqua Valley, had heard of Sheri & Mandy’s “reinvention” of oatmeal.

Today, Umpqua Oats is one of the fastest growing food companies in America! And oh yeah. The girls got the last laugh, because we are working for them!
